Seed growers from across Canada are invited to enter current year or past year's seed samples in this seed competition. By entering samples from your 2006 or 2007 crops, you can compete for prize money and take advantage of the great marketing opportunities associated with displaying your seed to over 15,000 patrons at the Western Canadian Crop Production Show.

History

The Seager Wheeler Pedigreed Seed Show, an attractive and popular component of the Western Canadian Crop Production Show, as first presented in 1994. It has grown to be one of the most prestigious seed competitions in Canada with competitive seed entries from across the country. Saskatchewan is proud of the contribution that Seager Wheeler made to the grain industry in the early 1900's. His progressive approach to seed selection has led to a change in the seed industry which has been a benefit to industry participants around the world. The Seager Wheeler Pedigreed Seed Show display at the Crop Production Show celebrates the history and the future of grain production in Western Canada. Included in the display is a history of wheat section outlining the changes over the past 100 years.
